Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons Mundo Nuevo Cocoa Nibs
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Cinnamon stick (for garnish)
Instructions
In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling. In a small bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and salt. Add the cocoa mixture to the saucepan with the hot milk, whisking constantly until well combined and smooth.
Stir in the vanilla extract. Continue to heat the mixture for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour the hot cocoa into mugs and top with whipped cream if desired. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and serve.
